Community Standards
loungin.live is a place to hang out, share what you’re up to, go live and talk face to face. These standards keep it a place people want to be. They apply to everyone, staff included, everywhere on the site: posts, replies, profiles, live rooms, direct messages, group chats and calls.
Last updated October 11, 2026
1. Who can join
- One person per account. Your account is yours; don’t share it, sell it or let others use it.
- No coming back after a ban. If an account of yours was permanently suspended, don’t make another.
2. Respect people
Disagree, joke and debate, but go after ideas, not people.
Harassment and bullying
- No insulting, demeaning or degrading someone, including in live chat, on stage and in calls.
- No repeatedly contacting someone who has made clear they don’t want to hear from you, and no getting others to pile on.
- No making new accounts, groups or rooms to get around a block.
- No sexual comments or advances toward someone who hasn’t welcomed them.
Hate
No attacking or dehumanizing people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness. That includes slurs, hateful stereotypes, and symbols or praise for hate groups. Discussing these topics, sharing your own experience or condemning hate is fine.
Threats and violence
- No threatening to hurt someone, or wishing serious harm on them, even as a “joke.”
- No encouraging or celebrating violence, or praising people who commit it.
- No organizing or coordinating harm against people or property.
3. Keep it safe
No nudity or sexual content
Nudity and sexual content aren’t allowed anywhere on loungin.live: not in posts, photos, profile pictures, banners, live video, calls, group chats or direct messages. That includes sexually explicit text and links to sexual content.
Self-harm and suicide
Talking about your own struggles, or supporting someone else, is welcome. Encouraging, instructing or glorifying self-harm, suicide or eating disorders is not. If you or someone you’re talking to is in danger, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US) or your local emergency number. If you’re worried about someone here, report it and choose “Self-harm or suicide” so we can look at it quickly.
Graphic content
No gore, or real violence shown for shock value. News and documentary material should be shared with context, not posted to upset people.
Dangerous and illegal activity
- No buying, selling or arranging illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods or other illegal items or services.
- No instructions for making weapons or carrying out crimes.
- No promoting dangerous challenges or stunts that can seriously hurt people.
4. Respect privacy
- No doxxing. Don’t share someone’s home address, phone number, private email, financial details, ID documents or other private information, or threaten to.
- Private stays private. Don’t post someone’s direct messages, group chat messages or private photos without their permission.
- Ask before recording. Don’t record or screenshot someone in a live room or call and share it without their permission.
- No intimate images without consent, ever, and no threatening to share them.
5. Be genuine
Impersonation
Don’t pretend to be another person, brand or organization, or a member of loungin.live staff. Parody and fan accounts are fine if they say so clearly.
Spam and scams
- No sending the same message or post to lots of people, or flooding feeds, chats and comments.
- No fake giveaways, phishing links, “investment opportunities,” or asking people for money, passwords or codes.
- No buying or selling followers, likes or accounts, or using scripts and bots to act for you.
- Mentioning your own work is fine; making every post and message an ad is not.
Misleading people
Don’t share content you know is false in a way that could cause real harm, such as fake emergency alerts, dangerous health claims, or false information about when, where or how to vote.
6. Respect other people’s work
Post things you made or have permission to share. Don’t stream movies, TV shows, sports broadcasts or concerts you don’t have the rights to, and don’t pass off someone else’s photos, art or writing as your own. Rights holders who believe their work is being used without permission can report it.
7. Live rooms, calls and groups
- The same rules apply everywhere, including private live rooms, group chats, calls and direct messages. Being in private doesn’t make something allowed.
- Hosts run their rooms. A host can take people off the stage or remove them from the room. Hosts are responsible for what happens on their stage: letting it break these standards, or using host tools to harass people, counts against the host’s own account.
- Joining a stage is a privilege. Don’t join to disrupt, show something you shouldn’t, or shout over people.
- Groups: only add people who would want to be there, and stop adding someone who has left. Anyone can leave a group, and people who run a group can remove members.
- Calls: you can turn calls off, or limit who can call you, in Edit Profile.
8. Reporting and blocking
Report it
Use the ⚑ button on a post, reply or profile, and choose what’s wrong. Reports go to our moderators, and the person you report is never told who reported them. One report is enough; you don’t need to report the same thing many times.
Block them
Blocking someone (from their profile) works both ways: you won’t see each other’s posts or replies, and they can’t message, call or follow you, or join your live rooms. They aren’t told. You can unblock them any time from Edit Profile.
9. What happens when rules are broken
We look at what was posted or done, the context, and the account’s history. Most problems are handled step by step:
- First timeThe content is removed and the account gets a warning explaining which rule was broken.
- AgainA temporary suspension, typically 1 to 7 days, during which the account can’t sign in.
- RepeatedlyA longer suspension, up to 30 days.
- After thatPermanent suspension.
Some things skip the steps and mean an immediate permanent ban: anything involving the sexual exploitation of minors, credible threats of violence, doxxing, sharing intimate images without consent, scams aimed at taking people’s money, and coming back after a ban. To stop people returning, we may also block the network addresses a banned account used.
Hosts can also remove people from their own live rooms, and anyone can block anyone. Those are separate from moderator action.
10. Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, ask us to take another look. Where we can, someone other than the moderator who made the decision reviews it. If we find we made a mistake, we reverse it.
Changes to these standards
We’ll update these standards as loungin.live grows. When we make a significant change, we’ll let members know on the site. Using loungin.live after a change means you accept the updated standards.
